Sparks studio environment overview

Guiding Belief: Play is the important work of the child habit formation is paramount. 

Character Focus (Learning To Be): Sparks Heroes develop and practice a sense of right and wrong with a foundation in learning to be a good friend and social-emotional learning through the Kindness Classroom curriculum. Heroes learn to be part of a community with a focus on collaboration, kindness, conflict resolution, curiosity, and creation. 

Academic Focus (Learning To Know & Do): Building on a Montessori foundation, nature study, read-alouds, narration, handicrafts, and fine art appreciation are all a vital part of the Sparks experience. A strong reading foundation is built using the Waseca reading program and Heroes will develop a real-world math sense through concrete Montessori manipulatives. 

Important Note: In Academic Year 2023-2024, only the Sparks and Elementary Studios are open. Middle school and Launchpad Studios are yet to become officially opened to the public.
